INTRODUCTION
For many, the number 13 holds a special significance and has a mythological reputation for being the cause of all sorts of mysterious happenings, mostly undesirable. However in this issue we hope to prove otherwise as we introduce some new editorial and technical changes to the format. Since more enthusiasts have joined us to work on Arhitekton, we can now present our ideas more effectively than before. The forthcoming editions will have clear common charicteristics, that is, a theme from the domain of current architectural topics as well as themes that are yet to become the preoccupation of architects. The theme of this issue is an initial research into the platforms that new architecture can take from existing ones.
Some of you will be puzzled to find text written in Serbian and Croatian, this is a novelty too. In future, each text will be presented in the language in which it was written. With the growth of our team, in number and geographically, the need arose to decide how the texts should be published. The decision taken was to publish the texts in the language they were written in, thus retaining the original clearly and honesty of the content.

All the best
