For Zumthor , who is 65, receiving the Pritzker prize, which is awarded annually to living architects and is equivalent to the Nobel Prize, was a kind of justification. “You can do your work, you do your thing, and it gets recognized”, he said in a telephone interview. He practices what could be called Slow Architecture, an antidote to the sugar-rush of “iconic” buildings, with intense attention to the making of the building, and to its stuff and detail.

Semi-detached building in Francuska Street 10-12, was built in the spirit of academism early last century. It is a building of great ambiental value and it is protected as architectural heritage. The investment project of maintenance of the facility in Francuska 12, with basement, ground floor, storey, attic and courtyard, included the interior design project for the entire building. The office design for the StudioS atelier located in the courtyard building dating from 1924, according to the plans, was the Integral part of the interior project.
